Minority Report~Shot By Shot Analysis

Shot 1 ~ Some people may argue that this is a medium close up shot, however I think that this is a close up shot as it allows the audience to see only one part of the actor, which in this case is Tom Cruise's face. This type of shot is used in order to focus on Cruise's emotions that are conveyed through his facial expressions.

Shot 2~ I think this is a Medium Close Up Shot seeing as the head and shoulders of each character is visible. This suggests that the director is only focusing on each and everyone's emotions rather than the background as you can only see a glimpse of it; because of this, we end up making assumption. Eventually. we star to question & become uncertain of what to expect next in the following scenes.

Shot 3~ This is a Long Shot. It shows us plenty of background and action for example, we can see where the scene is located; inside a garage that hasn't been used in for a long time hence the worn out car.
